My Career has always been anchored in the arts, from starting out at the Bristol Hippodrome in my teens, through touring with Musical Theatre and eventually becoming a Production Co-ordinator for film and TV. All aspects of my career has included working with children, either through professional stage shows, licensing them for a drama series or through my voluntary work at a Performing Arts school.
They bring such great enthusiasm and energy to a project and I’ve seen how they grow in confidence and self-esteem simply by being involved. It really doesn’t matter if it’s through a school or group class, a theatrical role or as part of a filming project, the effect is the same and it’s an inspiration to watch.
In my years working in Theatre, Film and Television, I developed a strong belief that all children should have the opportunity to get involved. It was this belief, along with the booming filming industry in the Bristol, that I decided to set up Briz Kidz Casting Ltd.
Since then, the agency has grown from strength to strength. Briz Kidz now covers all the Southwest, from Gloucestershire to Dorset, Bath to Weston-s-Mare. In 2022, after 3 years of working with productions filming in Wales, the Briz Kidz Cymru office opened in Cardiff.
