Briz Kidz do things a little differently. We are much more than a Children’s Talent Agency. We are a community of local chaperones, tutors, kidz and parents who all work together to support productions filming in the South West and Wales.
With bases in Bristol and Cardiff, Briz Kidz can help with casting, booking tutors and chaperones and child licensing. If you need advice on any aspect of the child regulations, Briz Kidz is on-hand to help.
Leading the community is Dawn Smith, an industry professional with over 20 years experience in HETV, Features, Corporate and Factual productions, and touring musical theatre. She knows the pressures productions face and is on hand to help you through every aspect of working with child actors.
Whether you’re an old hat or venturing into the great unknown, Briz Kidz will work with you from auditions and licensing through to the preparations and support needed for the performance days themselves.
Unique approach
Briz Kidz is proud to represent a diverse mix of budding young talent from all backgrounds and abilities. From dancers to skateboarders, horse riders and golfers, twins and those who have additional needs. Not forgetting the adorable preschoolers and cute-as-a-button babies.
Parents and Kidz are supported through every stage of the casting process, from self-taping to in-person auditions. Briz Kidz will offer advice and knowledge as we navigate through the licence application process, communicating with their schools and preparing for the performance days. We are at the end of the phone to answer any questions and there’s even a range of informative blogs about filming and what to expect on set. Briz Kidz’ aim is to teach, build confidence and help Kidz perform at their best.
Experienced chaperones are on hand to ensure the children are happy and ready to perform, whilst tutors enable children keep up with their schoolwork. Together, we will work with you to help balance the demands of the performance regulations with the needs of the scheduled day.
Tutors and chaperones are handpicked to offer the best support for every production. Each chaperone is carefully trained to high standards, with an in-depth knowledge of the regulations, enabling them to assist productions through any situation on set. All tutors are fully qualified with at least 1 years experience in a school environment. This is to ensure that all tutoring is current and within the curriculum of each keystage. This means that you can be safe in the knowledge that you are fully supported by an experienced and professional team.
